The work in this volume brings together my jazz-related photographs, from among the countless images I've taken over the many decades. Nearly all were taken on film and developed as silver gelatin prints; most depict live performances in the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, and New York. I feel privileged to have witnessed performances by some of the great jazz artists of our time, and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to photograph them.
